निरामय आरोग्य संस्थान छत्तीसगढ़ सोसायटी पंजीकरण अधिनियम के तहत एक स्वतंत्र, गैर-सरकारी सामाजिक संगठन (NGO) है। यद्यपि संस्थान बस्तर व अबूझमाड़ में 'नियद नेल्ला नार' जैसी विकास योजनाओं और प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य अभियानों के समन्वय में स्थानीय प्रशासन व समुदाय के साथ सहयोग करता है, किंतु यह स्वयं किसी सरकारी विभाग का प्रतिनिधि नहीं है।

दान के संबंध में आयकर छूट (धारा 80G / 12A) की पात्रता भारत सरकार के आयकर विभाग के तत्कालीन लागू नियमों, संस्था के पंजीकरण नवीनीकरण की स्थिति और दानदाता द्वारा प्रस्तुत अनिवार्य विवरण (जैसे पैन नंबर) पर निर्भर करती है। संस्थान किसी प्रकार की औपचारिक कर अथवा निवेश परामर्श सेवा प्रदान नहीं करता।
